An Ode to Being Down and Out...

its a weird thing how life can be so undulating in its effects on you, escalating you to dizzying heights just after it has shown you the crevices and the pits, only to take you up again in another vomit inducing rollercoaster ride. but the highs are always uncertain, and the depths have a comforting feel to them that makes you relaxed and feel safe about them. its not that you cant get any lower that relaxes you, for the lows can take you down into places where you'd begin to suffocate within yourself, and noone wants that to happen to them. but its the freedom from prying eyes and worse, from scrutiny that makes you safe. you cease to have the fear of not meeting expectations and of not being able to deliver, or worse, of being felt jealous of or trampling upon others trust on you. when you're low, they all leave you alone. and you dont have any expectations pulling you, or any of those leeches who feed on others success sucking you dry. you can be yourself without any pretension or care. for its only the pretension of being successful at everything and at all the times that takes away the peace from people and gives them that hideousness that is so evident to the loser and which aspirational wannabes fail to see. but, being low is very trying on the self esteem. and if one can get over the parental ego that squeezes them to lose their pulp, either by being confident of his own worthiness, or by by feeling himself outright useless and outofplace, one would find that being low is much better than being high, unless its by getting doped. low, when its with depression, is, like drugs, very addictive. and very enjoyable.

What is a "low" and who's got a right to be in it?
One who's had a home and family and education and exposure and physically everything or one with no hands or feet or both or eyesight or any other physical deformity, and one who has not had a home, a family and relatives and one who had no knowledge, no learning, no education...!
The modern lifestyle where living a normal life is being in the dumps! no man, we have no right to be down and out simply because we have no right or reason to be there.
'Coz we have knowledge and learning and power and faith and exposure. We can change things, make people listen, listen and comprehend.
we can be sad, at the plight of the world, of fellow sufferers...but we simply cannot complain.
suffering gives a kind of high, like Doping, or smoking but that's being sadistic, not logical, not rational, not Thankful.
so be sad, but dont be down 'coz you have the means and you have the power to bring about a change...!
